Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine in which a local suction is created on the skin with the application of plastic cups and pump gun. Cupping is beneficial for anyone who is experiencing muscle tension and local pain. Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue. What to expect is bruising and skin discoloration for 3 to 7 days.
